I stared working at Winterberry on March 7th, 2012 as the operations manager for the maintenance department. I quickly became hooked on building the Winterberry brand the idea of a one stop shop for high end commercial and residential clients. I’m also proud to say that I work beside some of the most hardworking, dedicated people in the industry.
I started in the landscaping industry at the age of 14, working for my grandfather Nicholas Nuzzi and Son landscaping. At 18 I started my own company Fusco Landscaping which I ran for 13 years which I sold to pursue an opportunity at Hamden Hall Country Day School as the superintendent of ground. Though I’ve been in the industry for quite some time, I can honestly say that I feel I’ve learned and grown the most during my time at Winterberry.
I’ve had a lot of memorable experiences at my job, one that sticks out is the mega snow storm of 2012-2013. Our crews went above and beyond to make sure all of our accounts were cleared and safe – long before the towns and state had their roads plowed. I had been plowing since I was 17 years old and had never seen anything like it.
When I’m not at work, my hobbies include drag racing and believe or not…working around the yard at my house. Crazy, I know!
