The Snow Plow Operator is responsible for a variety of off-site snow removal tasks related to plowing and machinery. Experience with plows or skid steers a must! The specifics of the tasks will depend on the experience of the team member.

Job Duties:

  • Operate plow trucks, skid steers and yard loaders
  • Pre-treat hard surfaces prior to snow events
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
  • Participate in ice watch monitoring of specific sites
  • Arrange own travel to and from site, potentially during inclement weather
  • Dress appropriately for the winter weather
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations


  • Capable of learning how to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical task
  •  valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Requires good manual dexterity
  • Excellent stamina is required
  • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including cold and wind, rain, dust, snow and sleet
